“The music came out from my experiences”
NABIL MUQUIT is a lauded musician, performer and recording artist. He established his career as a gifted musical prodigy at the age of twelve. His exceptional abilities have culminated in the achievement of over two dozen awards and endowments as well as two scholarships to the acclaimed LOYOLA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MUSIC in NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA.
NABIL graduated LOYOLA December 2019, a semester before his graduating class, with a concentration in Jazz Studies. He already writes and produces new music on a regular basis and works with many gifted artists, producers and writers on collaborative projects as well as music videos and youtubes. Working with this extensive network of writers and musicians allows him to create new and original music in many styles and genres within budgetary and time constraints.
Before heading to college, Muquit was and still is a private instructor for young up-and-coming jazz musicians at the Philadelphia Clef Club summer jazz camp. Once Nabil was in New Orleans, he became a performer in various groups at Snug Harbor including Ellis Marsalis Quintet, Delfeayo Marsalis and The Uptown Jazz Orchestra, and The Charmaine Neville Band. He then gained notoriety as a sideman of various groups performing at Bacchanal Fine Wine & Spirits including Willie Green Project and Jason Weaver’s Quintet. Muquit then spent some time as a residency artist at Favela Chic on Frenchman Street in New Orleans, LA with the jazz/funk group NuSpeak. On the weekends, Nabil spends time as the solo tenor saxophonist for the service band at Church of the Resurrection on Felicity Street.
Nabil is set to re-release his solo debut "4u&u2" later this year.
